Revitalisation of a monument representing European historicism
This project places the highest demands on heritage conservation, logistics and safety. Built in the mid-19th century, the structure is unique worldwide in its multifunctionality: it combines legislative, representative museum spaces and a sacred building in a highly complex building complex.
Our services in detail:
• Contract management & controlling: Complete implementation of tenders and contract awards as well as continuous review of specific additional conditions in compliance with the strictest monument protection requirements.
• Precise project controlling: Monthly reporting with detailed target/actual comparisons of costs, deadlines and quality as a sound basis for decision-making by the client.
• Logistics under extreme conditions: Implementation of highly efficient ‘just-in-time’ logistics. Due to the minimal space available in the urban area and the sensitive environment, precise control of material flows was critical to success.
• Construction in existing buildings during ongoing operations: The entire project was carried out while the parliament and museum were in full operation. This required highly dynamic coordination of the construction processes and constant coordination with the operational requirements of the user.
• Safety management: Strict compliance with and monitoring of the highest safety requirements, which were specified by the state use of the building.
